![[headshot.jpg]] I'm Alex Talbott - founder of **atalbo**, a data consultancy based in Nashville, TN. I help owner-led companies find the pipeline they already own: the customers about to slip, the channels that actually close, the spend that doesn't. It starts with a two-week read-back of your CRM and billing data, and continues with whatever the findings call for: pipelines, models, ads with the loop closed, or systems that run on their own. Enterprise-grade data discipline at a fraction of the cost of a big firm or a full-time hire. Previously, I led marketing and PLG analytics at [dbt Labs](https://www.getdbt.com/), where I built attribution models, pipeline forecasting systems, and the dbt-powered data infrastructure behind enterprise marketing decisions. --- ## How I Work > [!quote] Partnership over service. > I embed in your business: sitting in pipeline calls, understanding your sales motion, learning which metrics actually drive your decisions. I shape the question alongside you, not waiting for a ticket. > [!quote] Build systems, not dashboards. > A dashboard is an output. The real value is the system underneath -- clean models, documented logic, reliable pipelines, and a foundation that lets your team get the right answer without calling a consultant. I build infrastructure that outlasts the engagement. > [!quote] Start simple, then iterate. > I resist the urge to over-engineer. Ship the 80% solution, get it in front of stakeholders, and let their feedback drive the next iteration. The best models I've built started as a single SQL query. > [!quote] Own it to 100%. > If my name is on it, I've sanity-checked the numbers, pressure-tested the edge cases, and thought about what you'll do with it. The goal is to build enough trust that when you see the work, you act on it. --- ## Background My path into data infrastructure wasn't linear. I've worked across marketing analytics, revenue operations, and data engineering -- each role teaching me something different about how data creates value in an organization. What ties it together: I've always been drawn to the systems-level view. Not just "what does this number say?" but "why is this the number we're looking at, and is it the right one?" Outside of work, I enjoy bullet chess, racquet sports, and being a husband and girldad to my family of five. --- > [!tip] Let's Connect > Find me on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexdata/) or [GitHub](https://github.com/alexetalbott), or [[Let's Connect|book a 30-minute call →]]. --- ## Explore > [!tip] Services > The Hidden Pipeline Audit, then data engineering, analytics, digital ads, and AI systems.
